Elly Abels Designs focuses on bringing a splash of color to the fashion industry in a sustainable and colorful way. Using recycled textiles and zero-waste techniques, each piece is unique. With a passion for bright colors and bold prints, this fashion style is made for artistic people looking to express themselves genuinely. I plan to keep things weird here in Austin and continue to create one-of-a-kind pieces, all made with love.

 

I have been designing since I was a little girl, always putting on fashion shows, playing dress up, and even learning how to quilt. Growing up in Austin, I was always surrounded by unique, creative experiences. I had the freedom to truly express myself as well as find more weird, artsy people like myself. The community of artists encouraged me to pursue fashion as a career and business. With sustainability and environmentalism being huge values of mine, I always found joy making art from recycled materials. There's this hidden joy in finding innovative, unique ways to create fashion & art from what others just toss away.
