Creating distinct patchwork and using reclaimed quilts, Elly Abels Designs is all about statement pieces such as clothes, patchwork accessories, and stuffed animals. Sustainability is a big value of hers and mirrors this throughout her design process. Elly uses zero-waste techniques with her secondhand fabrics to best use up every bit of the vintage materials to reduce her own impact on one of the most waste-producing industries - fashion. She wants to show that there is still style, creativity and something new in sustainability by using her innovative designs and bright color palette.
